Miyata Tsumugi ShadesTsumugi originally referred to a silk fabric made from discarded, broken or leftover pieces of long staple silk. These small bits of salvaged silk were joined into a rough yarn and spun into a fabric with characteristic slubs and imperfections. This cotton cloth had a similar slubby texture in the black weft, so the Miyata mill nicknamed it Tsumugi and the name has stuck! 100% Kasuri dyed cotton, from the Miyata Workshop in the famous town of Kurume,
